Brazil Buzz

Wednesday, November 14, 2007

This week our daughters are coming home for a brief visit and to help us celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. Wow, I can't clear my head from thinking about it day and night, all day and all night. I might be too pooped out to party when Saturday rolls around.

Then again, I may be wired! You know from reading this dizzy blonde's past ramblings in the Brazil Times that; coffee gives me a buzz and I am drinking. I do get wound up like a top when I have something going on. Lately, my eyes are open well into the wee hours of the morning.

This week that new can on the counter looks like it is emptying out rapidly. There is not enough grounds remaining to brew and realize the goodness of the last drop. I'll be glad when the "calming" crew arrives. Don't worry I will rid myself of the coffee and drink a glass or two of warm milk a couple of nights before the open house.

Our daughters, Starla McHugh and Lori Ann Patrick will be in Brazil on Thursday.

This will be a very nice happening and they and their families want to make sure that; not only, Paul and I and our family, but everyone that is in attendance will have a memorable experience, more than; an ordinary Saturday afternoon offers. Everyone will feel the warmth in that room! Check your calendar, the one I asked you to mark! Traditions is the place--Saturday, Nov. 17 from 2-6pm!

I have good news to report in regard to the performance of my pest repeller, this past week. It is doing its job. The exterior of my little blue house at the end of the road is covered with Asian lady beetles and elder beetles, but not one of those pests can be found inside. The money was well spent! After all, we are having company. They don't like the stinky little beetles either.

I am not trying to sell you on this product, but it does work, amazingly, well. The spiders and field mice that try to invade the space in our main garage will soon be grumbling and ready to rumble. The building has an unused wall outlet and a repeat order is in.

You will read more about the members of the class of 1957 of Brazil High School in the weeks to come. My deadline is near.

Happy Thanksgiving and may all of your days be happy!
