The annual Community Thanksgiving service will be this Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m. at the Staunton United Methodist Church. Please bring finger food and/or dessert for a time of fellowship after the service.

If you plan to go the Golden Corral for lunch on Monday November 19, please meet at the church by 11:00 that morning.

We welcome into our fellowship Anna DeVylder, who transferred her membership last Sunday. We also rejoice with Jennifer Ross, as she rededicated her life to Christ.

Happy Birthday greetings go out to Max Ripple.

We will again be teaming with our friends from Staunton Christian Church for the annual Community Thanksgiving Service tomorrow, Sunday November 18, at 6:00 p.m.

The service will be at our church this year. The James Family will be bringing some of the special music for the evening, and refreshments will be available in the church basement following the service. Everyone in the area is invited to share this evening of worship, praise, and fellowship.

Sunday School is at 9:30 a.m. Church service begins at 10:30. David Brown is our Pastor and his wife Elaine brings the Children's Message. Glenna Simons is the pianist.

Happy birthday wishes to Frances James on November 21.

Remember that the Community Food Pantry is open in the church's basement, usually on the last two Wednesday afternoons of each month from 3:00 to 5:00. However, because of Thanksgiving, the next Food Pantry day will be Tuesday, November 20.

Anyone in the Staunton area in need of help is welcome. We truly appreciate the support of many churches, civic organizations, and individuals in helping to make this needed outreach a success. A container is located in the Staunton Town Office for anyone who would like to contribute non-perishable food items.

Please remember to keep praying for everyone who is battling illness, as well as all the brave men and women of our military and their families. Also remember in prayer all the folks in nursing homes and hospitals, and those who have lost loved ones. Go out of your way to be kind to someone, and pray for everyone.

If you have news to share, send it to me at 4954 W. Happy Holler Rd., Brazil. All news is greatly appreciated.
