Mary "Mamie" A. Massinon, 85, Brazil, died at 3:45 a.m., Friday, Nov. 16, 2007, at St. Vincent Clay Hospital, Brazil.

She was born May 23, 1922, in Vermillion County, Ind., the daughter of Richard and Mary (Cunningham) Raybould.

She was employed at several area businesses during her lifetime including, Columbia Records, House of Spirits The Bottle Shop, Terre Haute Medical Lab and the offices of Dr. Frank Maurer and Dr. Bob Maurer. She loved her cats, reading and exploring her family geneaology.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Mary Paulette Whitted; her husband, Joe Doyne Groner; son-in-law, Mike Whitted and a grandson-in-law, Hans Anacker.

She is survived by one daughter, Cheryl Whitted, seven grandchildren, BJ (spouse Stacy) Whitted and Sean (spouse Yao) Whitted, all of Chesapeake, Va., Devon Whitted, Tuscon, Ariz., Patra Whitted (partner Mindy) and Shannon (spouse Rick) Witt, all of Venice, Fla., Jonna Anacker and Daniel (spouse Miranda) Whitted, all of Brazil, several great-grandchildren, and son-in-law, James W. Whitted of Venice, Fla.

Moore Funeral Home was chosen to provide cremation services. At the requested of the deceased, there will be no services. Should friends so desire, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Clay County Humane Society, 8280 N CR 125 W, Brazil, IN 47834.
