WEST LAFAYETTE -- Natasha Bogdanova and FahKara Malone scored 16 points each and Danielle Campbell had 12 points and 11 rebounds to lead Purdue over Butler 69-53 Saturday.
Campbell's put-back after a missed 3-pointer by Malone gave Purdue a 15-8 lead and set the Boilermakers off on a 14-0 run that made it 27-8 with 7:20 remaining.
Bogdanova, who scored all of her points after halftime, had a 3-pointer and a three-point play in another 14-0 run that gave Purdue (2-0) a 46-24 lead with 15:01 remaining.
Butler (2-1) scored the next 12 points, including six by Susan Lester and a 3-pointer by Brittany Brown, to pull within 10 at 46-36 with 11:00 remaining, but Purdue answered with eight straight points on 3-pointers by Bogdanova and Malone and a Lakisha Freeman jumper that made it 54-36 with 8:06 left. Butler came no closer.
Freeman finished with 15 points for Purdue.
Lester finished with 14 and Bowen had 11.
