The Farm Service Agency (FSA) is currently accepting applications for emergency loans through May 12, 2008.
Farmers in Monroe, Morgan, Owen, Clay, Hendricks and Putnam counties who sustained physical and/or production losses due to frost and snow that took place from April 4-10, 2007, may be eligible to apply for FSA assistance.
To be eligible for assistance, a farmer must have suffered a loss to the farming operation and need FSA assistance to restore the operation to the pre-disaster condition.
The terms for emergency loans vary according to the nature of the damage, available security, and repayment ability.
For additional information for FSA's emergency loan program, farm ownership and operating loan programs or application forms, call the area FSA office or call the Rockville Regional Office at 765-569-2036.
