The Brazil Elks No. 762 will conduct an Italian Feast of a spaghetti dinner with garlic bread and salad on Friday, to raise money for cancer research. Founded in the late 1940s, the Indiana Elks Charities State Major Project was created help to fight the various dreaded cancer diseases that strike hundreds of Indiana Hoosiers each year.
The Brazil Elks have lost several members and many good friends this year to this dreaded disease and we have several members and their spouses battling cancer right now. With a little help from our members and community we can raise some money to go to research being done right here in Indiana.
The dinner will cost only $8.95. We will be serving both in the second floor dining room and in the basement. Live entertainment begins at 8 p.m. with the local band Schitz and Giggles.
If $1,200.00 is raised, two of our members will shave the head of Exalted Ruler Rob Halcomb who promises to keep it shaved through the end of the year to show support to the families and members who are fighting their battle with cancer this holiday season.
Those who can't make it may send a donation to the Elks Lodge Cancer Fund 19 S. Sherfy St. Brazil or call 448-8665 for more information.
