CLAY CITY -- The Clay City Eels got off to a bit of a slow start during Saturday's early afternoon tipoff against Turkey Run.

The Warriors jumped out to a 21-10 lead, led by 11 points from Meghan Doss. But Clay City knuckled down and won the remaining three quarters to score a 47-43 win against the visitors.

Aiding Clay the Eels' cause was 10-of-12 shooting from the free throw line compared to the Warriors' hitting just three-of-11 from the charity stripe.

Turkey Run was able to limit Britney Glass to just six points in the game, but Angie Camp came through for a game-high 19 points and Emily Reed contributed nine in the victory. Lydia Farmer added another eight points for Clay City.

The Warriors JV team won a 33-17 decision to start the afternoon.
