Sixth-graders score wins over Honey Creek

The North Clay sixth grade basketball team picked up a 33-22 win over Honey Creek on Wednesday evening.

The Knights got a team-leading 12 points from Jim Mace and a balanced effort across the board in the win.

Ethan Whitson was next highest in the scorebook with five points followed by four apiece from Trevor Okulovich and Connor Ganly. Adding in four points each for the Knights were Ian Heffner, Nate Newton, Kyle Moore and Tanner Wilson.

In the 'B' contest, North Clay won a 19-9 decision and was led by six points each from Jason Sampson and Kelly Hawkins.

Trevor Hetrick, Austin Butts and Mark Underwood all had two points in the win and Bo Stewart added one.

Next up for the Knights will be a home contest with Cloverdale on Dec. 10. North Clay will remain at home for the final four games of the season.
