To the Editor:
I find it interesting (as a former Clay Community Schools teacher) that after five years of insisting there is no money for a teacher salary increase, there is suddenly money for not only teachers, but also for other CCS employees.
I do not begrudge the raise of other employees. I worked for several years with aides who deserved much higher pay than they received.
Likewise, I know that most of the administrative and classified staff at Northview (where I worked for 18 years) are very dedicated to making the school run effectively and efficiently.
Since I am now in a position where the CEO, school board, and superintendent are very supportive of the school staff, I can say without reservation that it makes a huge difference in the way a school runs.
