The Clay Community School Corporation School Board will meet Thursday, at 7:30 p.m., at North Clay Middle School to discuss corporation business.
The board will discuss the possibility of creating positions for an Assistant Superintendent, grant writer and School Safety Specialist.
Creating these positions was proposed at the last meeting and tabled until December, when more information would be available.
Lynn Stoelting, the current School Safety Specialist, will present an update on the continued efforts to improve school safety.
Also, Principal Gail Williams will provide a report on the accomplishments of Van Buren Elementary School to the board.
The board will also review a proposal from Proliance Natural Gas to add an additional year of service on to the current contract. According to Proliance, the company has saved the corporation $11,000 in the past year.
Kathy Knust will present changes to the high school course descriptions, and the board will review changes to the School Board Policy Manual.
The meeting is held in the North Clay Middle School Media Center.
