Kay Lynn Barnett Crabb, 47, Brazil, died from injuries sustained in an automobile accident Dec. 11, 2007.

Born March 27, 1960, in Clay County, she was the daughter of Joseph Franklin and Betty A. Hillman Barnett.

Kay was a 1978 graduate of Van Buren High School and also Harrold Beauty Academy. She was previously employed as a hairdresser at Fantastic Sam's and Holly Hill Healthcare Facility.

She enjoyed gardening, mushroom hunting, reading books, and was an avid pet lover.

Survivors include her mother, Betty A. Barnett, Center Point; her son, Austin Wheeler, Brazil; daughter Sarah Crabb and partner Jamie Brown, Brazil; brothers, David and Carol Barnett, Peyton, Colo., and Mike and Debbie Barnett, Rockville; one sister Jane and Gene Crowley, Center Point; many nieces and nephews and extended family. She was a loving "mother" of many, taking care of many others along the years.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2007, at French Funeral Home with Revs. Ernie Rush and Myron James officiating. Burial will follow at Summit Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be two hours prior to services.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Kay Crabb Trust at Fifth-Third Bank. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
