The North Clay boys' seventh- and eighth-grade basketball teams split a pair of match-ups against Sullivan Wednesday night.
The seventh-graders pulled out a 37-23 victory over the Golden Arrows in the early game.
The Knights played it tight early, holding a 20-15 lead at the half, but were able to pull away in the second half, holding Sullivan to only two points in the fourth.
North Clay was led by Phillip Lalen, who finished with 12 points, and Dallas King, Braden Parr and Travis Hakman also had good games as well, pitching in seven, six and six points, respectively.
The eighth-grade team, however, did not fare as well.
The Knights fell to the Golden Arrows 44-34, despite holding a 26-23 lead at the half.
North Clay was only able to muster up four points in each of the third and fourth quarters as Sullivan pulled away for the 10-point victory.
Chance Talbot led the eighth-graders with 18 points and Zach Hull finished second in scoring for the Knights with seven points.
The eighth-grade team will next face Edgewood at home on Tuesday, Dec. 18, at 6 p.m., while the seventh-grade team will go to Edgewood on the same day, playing at the same time.
