North Clay Middle School student Courtney Isaac's "Reading Tree" ornament was recently selected to appear on the Indiana Department of Education holiday card. More than 16,000 students participated in the "Reading Tree" activity. The ornament was designed and created after reading the book, Frosty the Snowman. Courtney was one of three middle school students and one of nine total students selected from the entire state of Indiana. Her ornament was personally selected by State Superintendent of Public Instruction, Dr. Suellen Reed. It will be on display from Dec. 12-Dec. 21, in Dr. Reed's office hanging on the "Reading Tree" which is located in the Statehouse Room 228. Courtney is pictured above with North Clay Middle School Media Specialist, Beth Meuser, who coordinated the activity. Courtesy Photo.
