Charles R. Parr and Harriet A. Ferry Parr will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on Dec. 29, 2007, with an open house from 2-4 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church. They were married on Dec. 28, 1957 at 1:30 p.m. at Wesley Chapel Church with the Rev. Oliver Rambo officiating. Bridemaids were Nancy Ferry, Eva Guy, Mari Sue Schopmeyer, with groomsmen Don Parr, Jim Ferry and Jim Parr. Flower girl was Joyce Parr and ring bearer was Gary Ferry. Charles worked at Lilly Industrial for 30 years, before retiring. After retirement he pastored at Pleasant Valley Church for several years. Harriet has been a homemaker for 50 years and taught Sunday School for many years. They attend and are very active in Calvary Baptist Church. Charles and Harriet have two daughters and son-in-laws, Teresa and Charles Roberts; and Debby and Tony Hofmann. They have five grandchildren, Richard Schlatter, Kristina and husband Dustin Royer; AJ Hofmann, Diana Hofmann and Janelle Metz; and two great-grandchildren, Jasmine Eveland and Hannah Schlatter. Teresa and Debby will be hosting the open house and have asked that all friends and family are invited to come and celebrate this joyous time.
