Merry Christmas to everyone. May you all have a joyous holiday, celebrating the birth of Jesus, the true reason for this blessed Christmas holiday season.

You are invited to worship with us as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior during this wonderful Christmas season. Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m., with worship service following at 10:30. Doug Parkey is the minister.

Children's Church, Wee Worship and extended nursery are at 10:30 in the Educational Building.

The Children's Christmas Program, cancelled last week because of weather, will be presented during morning worship hour this Sunday. If you need transportation to morning worship services, please phone the church office at 446-3211. The van is wheelchair quipped.

There will be no evening service on Wednesday or evening Bible Study. The Christmas Eve service will begin at 8 p.m. A Family Fun Night is planned for Dec. 31 from 8 p.m. to midnight.

The Praise Band for middle and high school youth will start again on Sunday evening Jan. 6. They will meet every Sunday at 6 p.m.

Happy Birthday wishes go out to Cameron Biddle.

Our annual Christmas party will be held on Saturday, Dec. 22, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The children will be presenting a program, followed by refreshments and a visit from Santa in the church basement. Everyone is invited to this evening of worship and fun.

Our pastor David Brown and his wife Elaine are planning to treat everyone to a Christmas breakfast this Sunday. The breakfast will start at 9 a.m., with Church service beginning at 10:15 this week.

The church will be open for Holy Communion on Christmas Eve from 6-7 p.m., for anyone who wishes to stop in during that hour.

Happy Birthday to Elaine Brown on Dec. 27, and to my wonderful granddaughter Diana Aselage on Dec. 28.

The Community Food Pantry will next be open on Wednesday, Jan. 23, from 3-5 p.m. Anyone in the Staunton area in need of help is welcome.

We truly appreciate the support of many churches, civic organizations, and individuals in helping to make this needed outreach a success. A container is located in the Staunton Town Office for anyone who would like to contribute non-perishable food items.

Please remember to keep praying for everyone who is battling illness, as well as all the brave men and women of our military and their families.

Also remember in prayer all the folks in nursing homes and hospitals, and those who have lost loved ones.

Go out of your way to be kind to someone, and pray for everyone especially during this wonderful Christmas season.
