LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Jiri Hubalek scored 18 points and Diante Garrett added 14 Saturday night as Iowa State beat Purdue 83-80 to advance to the finals of the Las Vegas Holiday Classic.
The Cyclones (7-4) led by 12 points with 12:22 to play, but Purdue used a 22-9 run that included a 3-pointer from Robbie Hummel and three-point play from Scott Martin to take a 70-69 lead with 4:23 left.
The game featured nine ties and 12 lead changes with Iowa State taking the lead for good on a three-point play from Wesley Johnson with 2:40 to play.
The Cyclones made 10-of-13 free throws in the final minute to secure the win.
Johnson had 15 points for the Cyclones, Rahshon Clark scored 12 and Craig Brackins added 11. They took advantage of 30 Purdue fouls, going 24-for-37 from the free-throw line.
Purdue (7-4) got a game-high 19 points from Hummel, while Nemanja Calasan and Grant Keaton added 12 apiece.
The Cyclones, a perfect 3-0 in the eight-team tournament, will face Alabama in Sundays title game. Purdue will play Missouri State, which fell to Alabama 81-73 earlier Saturday.
