Poll: Readers feeling added holiday stress

Sunday, December 23, 2007

Only 67 readers chose to participate in The Brazil Times' latest online poll question.

Much of that was more than likely due to the poll being placed on The Brazil Times' website Friday morning, however.

Still, the poll was a good indicator of how stress is catching up with some.

The Brazil Times asked its online readers if they were starting to feel the holiday stress with only a handful of days left before Christmas.

Readers were given three options to choose from, including:

* Already there,

* Kind of, and

* No, not at all.

Of the 67 readers that participate, 34 (50.7 percent) stated they clearly were feeling the stress of the holidays while 23 readers (34.3 percent) said they didn't feel the added stress that comes with holidays at all.

A total of 10 participants (14.9 percent) said they sort of felt the holiday stress.

No readers commented regarding the recent Times' online poll.

The current Brazil Times' online poll asks its readers what plans they have for New Year's Eve. Readers have three choices, including:

* Spending time with family at home,

* Heading out for party time, or

* Going to sleep early. Really ready for the holidays to be over.
