Remembering an old friend

To the Editor:

Santa Claus is coming to town! And what joy that message sends to both young and old alike. A time for fun, family and friends.

And when we light the season with all the tinsel, trees and toys, it's still you who tops the list with all the girls and boys.

No one else is quite like Santa and you wear the suit so well. Is it your gifts that bring the smiles? Or is it you? It's hard to tell.

Thank you for all the joy you bring and the wonderful things you do for you make the season merry. It wouldn't be the same without you.

Always ready with a smile and a kind word for all. You're there when we need you and when the little ones call.

In memory of Bill Beeler who was a friend to the young and the old.

He loved to sing "White Christmas" and had a voice for it. Bill never missed a Christmas unless he was very sick. Friend, you will never be forgotten and the wonderful smiles you would bring to faces you have earned your reward!

Good night and Merry Christmas to you, Santa Claus.
