Born July 31, 1945, in Cloverland, Ind., she was the daughter of Thomas J. and Ellen Johnson.
She graduated from Marshall High School in 1963 and worked for many years as a school bus driver and waitress as well as a respite provider for the developmentally-disabled.
Linda's passions included gardening, bird-watching, crocheting and laundry. There wasn't a spot she couldn't defeat.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Drake, whom she wed in 1967; her parents, and brothers Robert and John Johnson.
She is survived by her daughters, Maribeth Negri and husband Tony, Katy, Texas, and Lisa Drake and husband Paul, Marshall, Ill.; grandson Jessy Shetler, Marshall, Ill.; granddaughter Amanda Hayes, Carbon, and two granddogs.
Services will take place at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, at Pearce Funeral Home, 314 S. 6th St., Marshall, Ill. Visitation will take place from 6-8 p.m., Saturday, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society.
