Although details are limited, Heaton said officers found Rissler at an undisclosed location in Vigo County.
Authorities have been searching for Rissler due to his alleged involvement in a high-speed pursuit that ended in an accident that seriously injured Brazil City Patrolman/K-9 Handler Kenny Hill on Dec. 20.
Rissler has previously contacted authorities saying he would turn himself in, but remained a fugitive until Wednesday afternoon.
Wanted on an arrest warrant for four charges, including two counts of class C felony resisting law enforcement, one count of criminal recklessness and one count of reckless driving, officials have previously released information that Rissler will be booked into the Clay County Justice Center on a $25,000, no 10 percent cash bond to await arraignment for the charges.
Updates will be provided as more details are announced.
