TRI COUNTY COMMUNITY CLUB

The Tri-County Community Club met at Bob and Angie's Restaurant in Clay City for their Christmas Dinner on Dec. 5th with a wonderful meal.

The blessing was given by Wilma Holsapple. After the meal, the afternoon meeting was opened by the president Diana Nees with all repeating the club creed and the Pledge of Allegiance.

Roll Call was answered by 15 members and five guests, Linda Rushton, Pauline Rubeck, Susie Faulkner, Shelly Blythe, and Andree Muns.

Secretary's report was given by Gerry Cundiff and approved. Treasurer's report was read by Evelyn Rubeck and approved. Card report was given by Lucy Straugh with three cards being sent for the month.

The Hospital report was given by Juanita Nees and the Ways and Means committee discussed a Bake Sale at the Poland Bank.

Devotions were read by Rhonda Tincher (different Christmas Poems)

The meeting on Jan. 16 will be held at the home of Charlie and Gerry Cundiff with Evelyn Rubeck as co-hostess.

The surprise package was won by Alma Haltom. The meeting was closed with all repeating the Lord's Prayer.

Guessing who their secret Sister might be, there was a lot of guessing and very few who knew.

Then we had Bingo Oh! what fun we had, we have a great club with all we can.

MODERN HOMEMAKERS EXTENSION

Nine Members and two guests of the Modern Homemakers Extension Club, met on Dec. 6, at the Center Point First Methodist Church for a delicious chicken and noodle dinner. Which was enjoyed by all.

Carolyn Tausig and Jeanne Nugent were the hostesses. Carolyn Tausig opened the meeting with devotions and the Christmas Story.

After Devotions we had Pledge of Allegiance and the Homemakers Creed.

After a short meeting we all enjoyed a gift exchange game. Roll call was answered with, "When do you send Handwritten Letters."

A Get Well card was sent to Barbara Huffman. Happy Birthday was sang to Katherine Bouilley.

Carolyn Tausig turned in 15 puppy pillows that our members made to the Council. We also made a donation to Clothe-a-Child.

Jan. 3 meeting will be at Carolyn Girton's. Jan 28 will be a special lesson on "Show and Tell," at 9:30 a.m. at the Extension Office.
