Northview girls win on the road at Cascade

CASCADE -- Making the most of their trips to the free throw, the Northview Knights scored a 59-49 win over Cascade on Tuesday night.

Stormi Raines hit all 13 of her free throw attempts and the team was 21-of-24 overall in winning its fifth game of the year.

Raines had a game-high 20 points for Northview and Lauren Webster had a career-high eight points from her point guard position.

Spring Raines added 14 points and moved within 19 points of 1,000 for her career.

Shelby Colson also added eight points in the victory with Tara Crooks adding five.

The junior varsity team was also a winner, tallying a 38-27 win led by 11 points from six-foot center Chelsey Sampson.

Emily Phillips contributed seven in the victory with both Ali Sharton and Kelsey Searing adding five. Allison Stearley rang up four points along with Erica Lee.

The Knights (5-7 overall) travel to Martinsville on Thursday evening for a 6 p.m. tipoff.
