The first Crackerbarrel for Clay County this year with elected legislative officials will take place 10 a.m.-noon, Saturday, Jan. 19.
The event will take place at the Jackson Township Firehouse, located at the intersection of County Road 600 N. and CR 200 E.
The event will be co-sponsored by Clay County Farm Bureau and the Clay County Chamber of Commerce.
The current legislative session will end March 15. Property taxes will be hot button issue at the Crackerbarrel.
Legislators elected from Clay County who are scheduled to attend include Sens. Richard Bray and John Waterman along with Reps. Vern Tincher, Clyde Kersey and Amos Thomas.
Light refreshments will be served and the public is invited to attend the event.
