The Best of Thymes Herb Club's Christmas party started at 1 p.m., Dec. 8, at the Bowling Green home of Rose Marie Weber.

In addition to the home's holiday decorations, the hostess accented the dining tables with watering cans filled with fresh greenery.

Jean Alsip provided favors at each place setting. The individual clay pots held a snowman cheese spreader and greenery.

Rose Marie served a traditional holiday dinner. The menu included roast pork, baked apricot chicken, dressing, homemade yeast rolls and several side dishes. Several ladies made desserts. Charlene Miller gave the table grace.

Following the meal, the members presented President Peggy Potts with a gift certificate for her leadership. Rose Marie received a hostess gift. Then the women gathered near the Christmas tree for the much-awaited gift exchange game. Several of the gifts exchanged hands many times before the party was over.

Attending were Rozie Aker, Jean Alsip, Sipriana Bussing, Nancy Cox, Roxanna Cunningham, Pat Deakins, Pat Krider, Lois Lawson, Jeanne McMichael, Charlene Miller, Carolyn Petty, Sinday Phillips, Peggy Potts, Jean Rowings, Karen Staub, Claralou Thompson, Sue Thompson, Ruth Timm, Rose Marie Weber, Bev Webster, Pat Wilkinson, Laura Kennedy and Carolyn Trout.

The next meeting will be a carry-in meal on Jan. 31 at Brazil 's First United Methodist Church.
