Rev. Woodrow W. Leohr, 95, Spencer, formerly of Brazil from 1965-2005, passed away at The Residence at McCormick's Creek, Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008.

Born Nov. 26, 1917, in Owen County, he was the son of Nelson A. and Mary Margaret Ellen (Price) Leohr.

Rev. Leohr was retired from Archetex Corp., and was also a retired minister serving the Deliverance Temple Church, Brazil, for many years.

Leohr received his GED from the Owen County Community Schools in 1968 at the age of 68.

He is survived by his children, Goldie Alice Martin and husband Richard, White Plains, Ky., and Thomas Edward Leohr and wife Nancy, Spencer, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years in 2005, Grace Helen (White) Leohr, three sisters, Leona Kent, Leahy Frye and Viola Grafe, and three brothers, Harley Leohr, Roy Leohr and Perry Leohr.

Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m., Friday, at West and Parrish and Pedigo Funeral Home, Spencer, with Rev. Viola Ellis officiating. Burial will follow at Marion Cemetery, Owen County.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Thursday, and Friday at 8:30 a.m. until time of service, at the funeral home.
