She was born Feb. 17, 1923, in Clay County the daughter of John Woodard Sampson and Minnie Marshall Sampson.
She graduated from Brazil High School. In 1948 she married Arthur C. "Jay" Bolinger. He preceded her in death in May 1968.
Mildred was a life-long member of the Peniel United Methodist Church. She was an active part of the church and enjoyed singing in the choir.
Mildred was a bookkeeper for many years at the J.C. Penney store in Brazil and also at First Bank and Trust. She had also worked at the Treasurer's office at the Clay County Courthouse.
Her first priority had always been her family. Caring for her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other children was a joy for Mildred. Cooking Sunday dinner was an honor, not a chore, and was something many had enjoyed over the years.
Survivors include her children, Shaaron Revalee and husband Larry, Carol Bolinger, and Dr. John Bolinger and wife Babette all of Brazil; a daughter-in-law, Marcia Bolinger; grandchildren, Sara Sproul and husband Michael, Jayson Bolinger, Troy Revalee wife Jennifer, Devin Crispin wife Sara, Frieda Crispin, Maureen Crispin; great-grandchildren, Jarrett Bolinger, Ella Sproul, Taylor Revalee, Shadd Revalee, Noah Bennett, Logan Bennett, Halen Revalee, Wyatt Revalee and Jebben Revalee; her dear sister-in-law, Viola Sampson; special nieces and nephew, Roberta Sampson, Marilyn Black and John Coy Sampson; great-nieces, nephews Alissa Smothers, Michael Sampson, Keith Black, Tiffany St. John, and Eric Black; several other nieces, nephews and other special family and friends and Jane Martin whom she has loved as a daughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Jay Bolinger; her brother Bernard Sampson; sister Agnes Sampson; an infant grandson Mark William Bolinger; a grand nephew Robert Bernard Sampson.
Services will take place Thursday at 1 p.m. at French Funeral Home with Revs. Richard Pippin and John Fischer officiating. Burial will follow at Bee Ridge Cemetery.
