Gardeners' clinic set

The Wabash Valley Master Gardeners' Association has scheduled an information clinic for Saturday, March 15.

The event will take place at the Girl Scout Building, located next to the YMCA in Fairbanks Park, Terre Haute. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Seminars are set from 8:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Topics covered include preparing beds and hardscapes, perennials with pizzazz, pruning tips, vegetable gardening, plus displaying and judging flowers.

The featured guest speaker is Dianne Noland, who has hosted and produced WILL-TV's Illinois Gardener show since 1999. She has co-authored 11 books and is currently a horticulture instructor at the University of Illinois.

Door prizes will be handed out and vendors will be available for shopping.

The event is open to the public. Registration fee is $20 and due by Feb. 29, or $25 after that date and on the day of the seminar. The fee includes a continental breakfast, lunch and materials.
