Readers were given five choices to respond to, including:
* All that snow,
* All the news reports,
* Getting stuck in the weather,
* I don't remember much about the blizzard, and
* Nothing. I wasn't even born.
Of the 270 readers that responded, 168 (62.2 percent) stated they remembered the snow the most.
Of the five choices, 39 respondents (14.4 percent) stated they didn't remember anything about the snow because they weren't born yet while 31 voters (11.5 percent) said they remember getting stuck in the snow.
Of the 270 voters, 27 (10 percent) said they didn't remember much about the blizzard 30 years ago while a total of five (1.9 percent) said they remembered the news reports the most.
A total of 13 readers responded to the poll question as well.
One reader said, "I remember tunneling out our drive with five foot snow drifts and being out of school for a long time. We made the best of the snow and had fun at the high school in the snow. Even though there was no school."
Another reader stated, "I remember that it was widely reported to be a sign of the 'Global Cooling' effect that was going to shorten the growing seasons in the future and starve us all," while another reader said, "My funniest memory is my cat refusing to go out and the look on his face when I opened the door."
Another reader responded, "I was only 1-year-old," while another reader said, "I remember the scuffle and hard time getting home from school that day. It took what seemed like forever to get from Van Buren High School to Knightsville. Then, my father had one of the only vehicles around that would make it through the snow."
Yet another reader remembered the blizzard 30 years ago, stating, "I remember when we finally were able to go anywhere, we drove through tunnels of snow that were taller than our car," and another read said, "Snow days from school! Snow ball fights, building an igloo! Sledding. Boy that was a fun snow."
The Times' current poll question is "What do you plan on doing for Valentine's Day?'
