M. Kathryn Trackwell

M. Kathryn Trackwell, 86, Brazil, passed away at 1:50 p.m., Feb. 3, 2008, at St. Vincent Clay Hospital.

She was born Dec. 29, 1921, to Isaac and Kathryn (Miller) Morlan.

She graduated from Bridgeton High School.

Kathryn worked as a head cook for the Briner Blue Bonnett and then for Adamson's Laundromat on the East end of Brazil. She was an excellent cook who enjoyed baking pies, cakes, bread and candies. She also enjoyed both vegetable and flower gardening. Kathryn was talented at needlework. She was a happy individual who was known to her family to be loving and giving.

She was a charter member of the Brazil Eagles Lodge and was a past Matron of the Eagles Auxiliary. She was also a member of the VFW.

She was preceded in death by her parents Isaac Wise Morlan and Kathryn Ellen (Miller) Morlan, husband Roy Woodrow Trackwell, son Frederick Ralph Trackwell, siblings, Inez Parker, Ruth Meador, Ralph Morlan, Christina Sawyer, Arthur Walton, George Morlan, Arizona Mosteller, Mildred Owens, Elzie Morlan, and grandson Steven Trackwell.

She is survived by her children, Roy Winston Trackwell and wife Patricia, Brazil, Allan Trackwell and companion Susan Sutton, Terre Haute, Patricia Ann Foltz, Brazil, Gary Dean Trackwell, Carbon, sister Nellie Chavis, Rockville, grandchildren, Mark Anthony Trackwell, Kelly Sue Wright, Cathy Lynn Archambeault, Corey Allen Trackwell, Patrick Edwin Swickard, Bryan David Trackwell, Kyle Andrew Trackwell, Annie Atkinson and Betsy Trackwell, and great-grandchildren, Cody Wright, Kristin Wright, Chelsea, Aaron, Elliott, James, Elizabeth, Michael and Heather Trackwell, and Hannah and Savannah Archambeault.

Services will be Thursday, at 2 p.m., at French Funeral Home with Rev. Benjamin Archambeault officiating. Burial will follow at Calcutta Cemetery.

Visitation will be at French Funeral Home Thursday from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Alzheimer's Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
