The Zion United Church of Christ in Poland, celebrated the 90th birthdays of members Lucy Spelbring, Kenneth Raab, Forrest Bullerdick and Dorothy Campbell on Jan. 20, 2008. A pitch-in lunch with a birthday cake was enjoyed be members of the church and families of the birthday members.
TRI COUNTY COMMUNITY CLUB

The Tri-County Community Club met at the home of Gerry Cundiff on Jan. 16 withEvelyn Rubeck as co-hostess. A great meal was served. It's amazing what wonderful cooks we have in our club.

Our afternoon business was opened by our new president Rhonda Tincher with all repeating the club creed and the Pledge of Allegiance. The luncheon prayer was given by Wilma Holsapple.

The surprise package was won by Gerri Cundiff. Door prize was won by Mary Rubeck. Devotions were read by Wilma Holsapple.

Linda Rushton was voted into our club as a new member, you must attend three straight meetings you then can be voted into our special organization of providing everyone with hospital equipment.

Roll call by Gerri Cundiff with 12 members stating their childhood winter memories. Secretary's report read and approved. Treasurer's report was read by Evelyn Rubeck and approved.

There was no cards sent for the month. Hospital report was given and approved.

Remember the next meeting will be at the Zion Church in Poland with Pat Kaster as hostess on Feb. 20. We are having a Valentine's red gift exchange, no more than $2.

New business, we are making a donation to Riley Hospital for Children.

Marilyn Eckerman received her birthday gift from her secret sister. The meeting was closed withall repeating the Lord's Prayer. The social hour was spent playing bingo.
