Born Feb. 16, 1915, in Brazil, she was the daughter of the late Dwight Victor and Edith Goldie (Miller) Carter.

She was a sales person for L.S. Ayers for 12 years.

Her memberships include the Plainfield United Methodist Church, the Plainfield Women's Club, the Loyal Workers and the Altar Guild.

She is survived by a son, David Whited, a daughter, Sue A. Rogers, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul R. Whited.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 7, at the Plainfield United Methodist Church.

Visitation is one hour prior to services at the church.

Arrangements are being handled by Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield.
