He was born March 23, 1930, in Green Bay, Wis., the son of Adolph A. Boldon and Ella Morris Boldon. He was married to Patricia Atkinson Boldon. She preceded him in death in August 2001.
Pastor Boldon obtained his ministerial education at Lincoln Christian College and furthered his knowledge through the Hospital Chaplain program at Indiana University.
Pastor Boldon has served as a minister in many locations in his lifetime including Missouri, Indiana, Florida and Minnesota. He also had the joy of preaching in India and Canada.
He and his wife Patricia located in the Brazil area in 1988. He had been a member of the Berea Christian Church.
Survivors include his three children, Peggy Liddil and husband Thomas, Indianapolis, Daniel Eugene Boldon and wife Tammy, N.Y., and Betty Jane Anderson and husband Linden, Minn., 11 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one sister, Gretta May Marks, Jenison, Mich., one brother-in-law Paul Atkinson and wife Ann, three sisters-in-law, Veleda Eldridge and husband Jack, Donna Dersch and husband Dr. David Dersch, and Toni Cooksey and husband Jerry, several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Patricia, and a sister, Doris Wiersbe.
Services will be held Friday, Feb. 8, at 11 a.m., at the Berea Christian Church with his friend and colleague, Brother Don Paden officiating.
Burial will follow at Summit Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-9 p.m., at French Funeral Home, and at the church one hour prior to services.
