He was born May 19, 1928, in Winslow, Ind., as the son of Otto and Flossie Ferguson Doughty. He worked as a rolling mill operator in the steel industry until his retirement. He married Geneva M. George Dec. 26, 1980. Geneva survives him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, John Doughty and Kenneth Corn, one sister, Dorothy Emery, one stepson, Bobbie A. Moore and one grandson, Shane Schwartz.
He is survived by his wife Geneva, two daughters, Linda Sue Richards and husband Bernie, Iowa and Vanessa K. Moore and life partner Vickie Schwartz, two sisters, Mary Helen Lee and husband Jerry, Palm Harbor, Fla., and Lucille Perkinson, Plainfield, Indiana, eight grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
At the request of the deceased his body was cremated. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 16, at Moore Funeral Home.
