Home Expo at Armory

Wednesday, February 13, 2008

The 18th Clay County Home Expo will take place this weekend at the National Guard Amory in Brazil, located on State Road 59.

The CROCK, 92.7-FM, produces the show each year.

There will be approximately 40 exhibitors plus some activities and attractions that families will enjoy, including the Monty's Exotic Reptile Rescue Center on Saturday and the Clay County Humane Society.

WSDM CROCK 92.7-FM personality Party Marty will be at the event from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Saturday, and Meteorologist Julie Henricks will be there from noon-2 p.m., Sunday.

Food will be served by the Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Department.

Most exhibitors will offer door prizes and the CROCK will have the grand prize, a fishing trip on Lake Michigan for a day this summer on a charter boat.

A pair of tickets for two to Beef and Boards Dinner Theater will also be given away.

Parking and admission is free and hours for the expo are 5-9 p.m., Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday and noon-5 p.m., Sunday.

A list of exhibitors may be obtained at www.crock927.com.

Last year we went on Sunday around 3:30 and the majority of the exhibitors were packing up to leave! Don't assume they are there until 5:00 because if some of them get bored they go home early! Thank you to the exhibitors that did stay for the advertised hours! To the ones that left early...you need to consider that it doesn't speak very highly of your company if you can't fulfill this easy commitment.
