Leslie Gene "Pete" Berry, Sr., 58, a resident of the Mansfield area of Parke County, passed away at 5:02 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 14, 2008, at his residence.

He was born in Mansfield, a son of the late Donald and Crystal Kemper Berry. He was a member of the Mansfield Bible Church and was formerly employed with Great Dane in Brazil.

He is survived by his daughter, Melody B. Boyer of Marshall, Ill., one son, Jr. Berry, Mansfield; two brothers, Sherman Berry and Raymond Berry, both of Mansfield; four sisters, Dell Hale, Greencastle, Kate Girton, Brazil, Nancy McCooley, Hammond, Ind., and Ona Cuthbertson, Rosedale. He is also survived by three grandchildren.

As per Pete's wishes, cremation was chosen and there will be no services announced.
