Shortly after 1 p.m., Monday, members of the Brazil City Police and Fire Departments and Clay County Search and Rescue were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident near the intersection of United States 40 and Union Street. BCPD Captain Dave Archer told The Brazil Times that Quentin Pundt, 30, Brazil, apparently caused the collision when he turned in front of a vehicle driven by Robert Buckles, 29, Terre Haute, causing both vehicles came to rest in the parking lot near Dairy Queen. Victims complaining of neck and back pain were checked at the scene by members of TransCare, but were not transported to a hospital. The Clay County Sheriff's Department provided traffic assistance.
