Barbara "Bobbie Lou" Garrison, 72, Harmony, passed away at 11:30 a.m., Feb. 17, 2008, at her residence.

She was born Sept. 30, 1935, in Brazil, to Talbott and Margaret (Louderback) Girton.

She graduated from Van Buren High School in 1953.

She married Frederick Garrison on March 9, 1953.

Barbara worked as a postal clerk for the Harmony Post Office as well as several other postal offices. She was a member of the EUB church in Harmony.

She enjoyed collecting Emmitt Kelly clowns and also enjoyed traveling to Branson, Mo. Her family will remember the annual trips, with the whole family, to Holiday World.

She was known to have a good sense of humor. She loved spending time with her family and had a soft heart for animals.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Talbott and Margaret (Louderback) Girton,

She is survived by her husband, Frederick Garrison, Harmony, sons William Garrison and wife Wendy, Brazil, Tom Garrison and wife Jerri, Center Point, and Steve Ward and wife Christa, Center Point, and daughter Becky Proffitt and husband Ed, Brazil, grandchildren, Brooke Lee and husband Jamie, Lindsey Mershon and husband Matt, Justin Garrison and wife Carrie, Cody and Jordan Garrison, Shannon Lutes and husband Kevin, Mandi Eldridge and husband Trent, Austin Proffitt and wife Jamie, Talbott Fisher and wife Courtney, Wesley Proffit, Megan and Hannah Ward, great-grandchildren, Brady, Jace and Isabella Lee, Morgan and Mason Mershon, Keegan Garrison, Cain Garrison, Evie and Jaiden Lutes, Maisie and Brooklyn Eldridge, Ethan and Jasmine Proffitt, and Jamison Fisher, and sisters Helen Marie and Margie.

Services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008, at Lawson-Miller Chapel, with Pastor Howard Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at Calcutta Cemetery.

Visitation will be at Lawson-Miller Chapel, Tuesday (today), from 4-8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Judes. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
