Dorothy J. Guildenbecher, 82, Alexandria, Ind., formerly of Brazil, passed away in her sleep Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008, at her residence.
She was born May 17, 1925, in Carbon, to Jesse Brush and Mary (Myers) Brush. She was a part of the Van Buren High School graduating Class of 1943 and would later move to Alexandria, Ind., in 1971.
Preceding her in death includes her husband of 47 years, Franklin Guildenbecher, in 1992, and eight brothers and sisters.
Surviving her are three daughters, Dixie and husband Steven Vermillion, Alexandria, Ind., Pamela and husband Doug Schroeder, Rapid River, Mich., and Becky and husband Jim Plake, Alexandria, Ind., a son, Frank and wife Lee Ann Guildenbecher, Anderson, Ind., eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandson and several nieces and nephews.
Private family services will take place Monday, Feb. 25, 2008, at Owens Funeral Home, 412 N. Harrison St., Alexandria, Ind. Friends and family are invited to attend a graveside service Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008 at Clearview Cemetery, Brazil.
