Only a few days after ice slithered its way through the afternoon sky, readers of The Brazil Times admitted they are ready for spring.
The latest Times' online poll indicated spring is on the mind of several readers.
The Times asked its readers in its latest poll, "Are you ready for a few more weeks of winter," following the latest weather onslaught.
Readers were offered two responses to choose from, including:
* Absolutely. I can't wait for more snow!, and
* Oh my goodness no. When does spring start again?
A total of 98 readers responded to the poll question.
Of the 98 respondents, 86 (87.8 percent) said they were ready for spring to march in. Twelve readers (12.2 percent), however, said they were hoping for more snow.
A total of two readers also commented regarding the latest poll.
One reader said, "Sick to death of cold weather! We need some sun and warm air now," while the other reader stated, "Snow is OK the first time or two, but after that, give me spring!"
In the wake of drug arrests that took place two weeks ago, The Times' new poll question evolves around this issue.
The Times is asking its online readers in its latest poll question, "How serious is the drug epidemic in Clay County?"
Readers are offered four choices to answer with, including:
* It's bad and getting worse,
* It's bad but due to law enforcement, it's getting better,
* It's no worse here than in other areas, and
* It's not bad at all.
As always, readers may comment on the poll question.
