Washington Township Circle Club

We repeated the Club Creed and Flag Salute in unison.

Mary Lou Coley led us in singing "Bicycle Built for Tow."

Roll call was answered by seven members and two guests telling who gave you a hug.

Wilma Rich gave citizenship lesson "What if Abraham Lincoln had survived?"

She also had a newspaper clipping from The Club in 1958.

Lucy Spelbring was the only one new today.

Rosalind gave devotions "Enjoy your Hot Chocolate."

Collections were taken. Treasurers report by Davis Romas, Secretary report by Rosalind, Both approved.

We voted to give to Child Welfare Clinic.

Various meetings, times and places were announced.

Mary Lou gave the lesson "Making Tough Decisions in Difficult Times."

It was a very informative lesson with lots of discussion.

Election of officers for 2008-2009. President, Mary Lou Coley; Vice President and Treasurer, Doris Romas; Secretary and Reporter Rosalind Schopmeyer; and Song Leader Mary Lou Coley.

Lucy Strands was our guest being of of our County Officers.

Others present were Rosemary Stephens, Linda Scheile, Lucy Spelbring. Closed with Homemakers Prayer.

A red gift exchange was enjoyed and delicious refreshments were served.

Modern Homemakers Home Economic Club

Modern Homemakers Home Ec. Club met Feb. 7, 2008 at "Bit of Britain," Terre Haute, for a delicious lunch. There were seven members and two guests present. Devotions were given by Carolyn Tansig. Carolyn also gave the citizenship report about Juliet Strauss and the year of 1813 and Pioneer Farmers. Wilma Modesitt gave the lesson on Household Pests and Pesticides. Our Club is to save tabs from pop cans for Ronald McDonald House.
