Rosemary C. Riley, 85, Indianapolis, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2008.
Rosemary was born in Brazil on Aug. 27, 1922, to parents William J. and Sarah E. (Cook) McGuire.
Rosemary received her bachelor's degree in education from Indiana State University and she earned her master's degree in music theory from Northwestern University.
She retired in 1988 from Carmel Clay School System.
She was a public school music teacher for 38 years.
She was a member of the Sigma Alpha Iota Honorary Music Fraternity and other educational organizations, St. Augustine Guild and Tri Kappa.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband, Norman A. Riley and is survived by her son William N. Riley, daughter-in-law Kristen L. Riley, grandson John S. Riley and sister Kathryn McGuire Kimberlin.
A Mass of Christian Burial took place at 10 a.m., Friday, Feb. 22, 2008, at St. Simon the Apostle Catholic Church, 8155 Oaklandon Rd., Indianapolis. Visitation took place from 4-8 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008, at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center, Broad Ripple.
Burial was in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery.
