Clay City to present 'A Murder in the House of Horrors'
CLAY CITY -- Someone's going to die this weekend in Clay City and a whole cast of who's who are going to have to solve it.
Clay City High School will host "A Murder in the House of Horrors," by Billy St. John, today and Saturday.
The play surrounds the murder of Professor Dirk Carlton as he is giving a lecturer in a museum.
Who committed the crime? Was it France Carlton? Isis Amun? Gahiji Amun?
An endless list of suspects awaits the audience.
Dirk and Kirk Carlton are portrayed by Josh Strain.
Other characters in the play include Whitney Ames as Elena Newman, Tessy Hoag as Lurenda Westbrook, Erica Kimmel as Elvira Gray, Cassy Tiefel as Jane Trice, Colleen Wiley as Frances Carlton, Emily Reed as Betty Lange, Marrae McKittrick as Isis Amun, Heather Fox as Val Holloway, Kendall Dickerson and Hanna Moore as guards, Courtney Rundel and Andrew Nicoson as television reporters, Dale Stoops as Dr. Johann Vanderveer, Chandler Ames as Russ Palmer, Donnie Liechty as Gahiji Amun, Hunter Lavoine as Lt. Dan Morrow, Ryan Sutton as Tony, Colton Johnson as a guard, and Brittany Richard, Marleah Tryon, Hannah Walton and Danielle Brough as guards in the museum.
Student directors include Ashley Alexander and Jessica LeGrand.
The students are under the direction of co-directors Sarah Titzer and Patricia Gregory. Titzer said the students have been rehearsing for the play since January.
Showtime for today is 7 p.m., while a matinee has been scheduled for 2 p.m., Saturday. Both shows will take place in the school's auditeria.
