The Clay County Sheriff's Department was assisting the Clay Community Corrections Department during a routine home inspection of an unidentified Center Point man around 9 p.m., Saturday, when they discovered large amounts of marijuana, some cocaine, various drug paraphernalia and two weapons inside a residence at 5 East County Road 200 North.
Evidence is still being processed in the ongoing investigation, but officials were able to release some information.
Sgt. Dan Best and Deputy Brison Swearingen confirmed to The Brazil Times that approximately 463 grams of loose marijuana, more than 600 grams of partially smoked, pre-rolled marijuana cigarettes, 5 grams of cocaine powder and miscellaneous drug paraphernalia, including two sets of scales, were found inside the home.
The Center Point man is in the process of being booked into the Clay County Justice Center on various drug charges.
