Everett Roy Lucas, 76, Indianapolis, formerly of Staunton, died March 17, 2008, in Indianapolis.

He was born Jan. 26, 1932, in Staunton, the son of Roy and Anna Bullerdick Lucas.

He was worked as a farmer and owner/operator of a trucking company. During the Korean War he served in the U.S. Army until his Honorable Discharge at the rank of Sergeant.

He married Marilyn Sue Howald in Brazil. He was a member of the North Salem Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Marilyn, one brother, Melvin Lucas, and one sister, Ruby Vaness.

He is survived by three sons, Dan Lucas and wife Jill, Roachdale, David Lucas and wife Angie, Roachdale, and Dale Lucas, Indianapolis, and seven grandchildren.

At the request of the deceased, his body was cremated. A visitation with the family will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 20, at Moore Funeral Home.

A Military Honors memorial service will be conducted at 8 p.m.
