STAUNTON FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH

You are invited to worship with us this week, as we celebrate Resurrection morning. Easter Sunday services begin with Sunrise Service at 6:30 a.m.

A short drama will be a part of this service. Following the service, breakfast will be served in the basement of the Educational Building.

There will be no Sunday School classes. Morning worship will begin at 10:30 a.m. Doug Parkey is the minister. His message is titled "Check the Rock." Nursery, extended nursery, Wee Worship and Children's Church will be available for the service.

If you need transportation to morning worship, please phone the church office at 446-3211. The bus is wheelchair equipped. There will be no evening service.

Wednesday Bible Study and Prayer Group meets at 7 p.m. We will begin a six-week study of John 3:16 on March 30.

Small groups are being formed to meet for study during the week. The morning messages will be based on the study and each Sunday evening service will be a study of a lesson.

Happy Birthday greetings go out to Sydney Buell. We welcome Julie Davis into our fellowship. The church family was blessed to witness her baptism last Sunday morning.

STAUNTON UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

On Easter Sunday morning, the day will begin with a Sunrise Service at 7:30, followed by a breakfast prepared by the men of the church.

Then, an Easter egg hunt for the children will start at 9 a.m., with the morning activities coming to a close with Church service at 10 a.m. Everyone is invited to attend, as we celebrate this very special holiday.

We again want to thank everyone who has donated to the roof fund, and we continue to need contributions to help pay for this much-needed improvement to the church building. If you would like to donate, please contact Janet Young at 448-3210.

David Brown is our Pastor and his wife Elaine brings the Children's Message. Glenna Simons is the pianist.

Remember that the Community Food Pantry is open in the church's basement the last two Wednesday afternoons of each month from 3-5 p.m. The next Food Pantry day will be Wednesday. Anyone in the Staunton area in need of help is welcome.

We truly appreciate the support of many churches, civic organizations, and individuals in helping to make this needed outreach a success. A container is located in the Staunton Town Office for anyone who would like to contribute non-perishable food items.

Please remember to keep praying for everyone who is battling illness, as well as all the brave men and women of our military and their families. Also remember in prayer all the folks in nursing homes and hospitals, and those who have lost loved ones. Go out of your way to be kind to someone, and pray for everyone.

If you have news to share, send it to me at 4954 W. Happy Holler Rd., Brazil. All news is greatly appreciated.
