Norma Jayne Wedel, 86, Indianapolis, formerly of Brazil, died at 2:15 p.m., Monday, March 24, 2008, at University Heights Healthcare, Indianapolis.

She was born March 21, 1922, in Brazil, as the daughter of George R. and Mary Reffett Buck.

Following high school, she worked for several years as a secretary at Twiggs Industries.

She attended Zion Evangelical United Church of Christ. She had lived in Stone Mountain, Ga., for 20 years. She enjoyed painting and firing ceramics.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Harold L. Dean and J. Ralph Wedel, and two brothers, Robert Buck and Raymond Buck.

She is survived by one daughter Janet Albaugh and husband Mike, Greenwood, one son Joseph A. Wedel, Greenwood, one sister Betty L. Orman, Franklin, Tenn., three grandchildren, Mick Albaugh, Anji Miler and Dedra Braughton, and five great-grandchildren, Allison, Caitlin, Will, A.J. and Chase.

Services will be conducted at 7 p.m., Friday, at Moore Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home.
