Everett Bernarte, 78, Brazil, died in the emergency room of St. Vincent Clay Hospital in Brazil, Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at 10:04 p.m.
Everett was born in Fowler, Ind., Jan. 9, 1930. He was the son of the late Carl and Rosa Jackson Bernarte. He was raised in Warren County, graduating from the Winthrop school. He had lived most of his life near Riverside, east of Attica, until moving to Brazil in 2003.
Everett had worked at Harrison Steel Castings Company in Attica and later at Radio Material Corp in Attica.
Everett had attended the West Point Baptist Church and was a former member of the Eagles Lodge of Attica.
Surviving is a brother, David Bernarte, Veedersburg, Ind., and several nieces and nephews of Brazil survive. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Floyd, Joe, Henry and Frank Bernarte along with two sisters, Allie and Isabelle Bernarte.
A gravesite service for Mr. Bernarte will be held in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica, Saturday, March 29, at noon.
