Committee Member Carrol Evans has set up an e-mail account so people can send in pictures of family and friends they want remembered in the PowerPoint presentation that will run during the Luminaria presentation.
"I'll need the name of the person in the photo and the type of cancer they had and whether they are a survivor or not to go with the pictures," Evans said. "Pictures need to be sent as an attachment in a JPEG format."
Evans said the pictures would not be in any particular order or coincide with the names read during the ceremony, but they can be personalized.
"If the person enjoyed a favorite theme or a hobby, I'll try to get backgrounds to fit them," she said. "The deadline for sending digital pictures is April 25th. I can't guarantee any pictures submitted after that date will be in the presentation."
To make a submission for the presentation, send a digital photo (JPEG format) along with the person's information to the following email address, firstname.lastname@example.org.
Evans is also accepting photos through the mail, but recommends that people choose a copy of a picture or one that does not need to be returned soon. Please do not send photocopied pictures or paper scans of the pictures because the quality will not be very good. The deadline for submissions by mail is April 23.
Submit pictures to Carrol Evans at 511 Edgewood Drive, Brazil, IN 47834.
"They can call me if they have any questions," Evans said, adding that her phone number is 812-442-0505. "They can leave a message if necessary."
