New bridge
The Clay County Commissioners dedicated the opening of a new bridge on County Road 100 East, just south of State Road 42, Monday afternoon. The bridge, which is made up of two 45-foot-long flat cars and is the second constructed this year, replaced a concrete culvert that was not wide enough for farm equipment to pass through. The width of the bridge is now 22 feet, 10 inches and was constructed by local contractors.
