TERRE HAUTE -- Playing on their home turf, the Terre Haute South Braves posted their second win against Northview in the early stages of this year's golf season.

After scoring a Northview Invitational win on Saturday at Forest Park, the Braves carded a round of 147 to the Knights 167 as both teams played 12 golfers and kept the four best scores for each squad.

"It was a disappointing night," said Northview coach Scott Buell of the loss. "Top to bottom we didn't play well so I hope the rain holds off so we can go out (today) and work on some things."

Kade Baker shot a 39 to lead the Knights with Matt Williams at 42 and Brad Smith at 41.

"I was really proud of how Brad Smith played in his first time as a freshman on this course," said coach Buell.

A group of Knights hit 45 that included Jordan Gaskill, Drew Snyder, Daniel Eaglin, Jared Short and Josh Hoskins.

Ryan Turner shot a 46 with Dylan Moore at 47, Jake Short at 49 and Jacob Musgrave at 50.

The Knights face visiting Rockville and Riverton Parke at Forest Park Golf Course beginning at 4:45 p.m.
